This Commercial Building Performance Technology Program provides students with the opportunity to learn skills and acquire knowledge in the area of energy management, energy efficiency, and commissioning. Students will gain skills in all of the areas related to building commissioning which is the process of ensuring, in new construction, that all the building mechanical, electrical and other systems are operating as the design intends. Students will learn the process of improving building and central plant performance by optimization of the facility's energy using systems. This certificate addresses the requirements of those occupations that require entry-level course work and/or skill-based knowledge at the technician or specialist level. This certificate provides two specialization options: Energy Management and Energy Efficiency Commissioning.
