CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY - RISING ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

(Level 1 Certificate)

Cedar Valley, Eastfield and North Lake campus only
  • Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
  • Complete at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College.

This program introduces students to the electrical and mechanical principles necessary to begin an electrical career as an electrician's helper. Commonly used tools and instruments are introduced and safety is emphasized. The preferred program alternative is for each student to experience a cooperative work experience at the program's culmination.
