Introduction to Nursing
This is a WECM Course Number.
Course Description: Overview of nursing and the role of the professional nurse as a provider of care, coordinator of care, patient safety advocate, and member of a profession. Topics include knowledge, judgment, skills, and professional values with a legal/ethical framework. This course focuses on concepts and principles necessary to perform basic, intermediate and advanced nursing skills, for care of diverse patients across the life span. (6 Lab.)
