Fundamentals of Solaris Operating Environment (SA) This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: Basic networking and operating essentials skills or instructor approval. Course Description: Designed for the student interested in Solaris certification, this course is for new users and covers how to use the basic Solaris operating environment. Topics include fundamental command-line features of the Solaris operating environment file system, file permissions, the text editor, command shells, and basic network use. Licensing/Certification Agency: Sun Microsystems. This course is cross-listed as ITSC 1329. The student may register for either ITSC 1429 or ITSC 1329 but may receive credit for only one of the two.
