Food Animal Clinical Management

Prerequisite: Students must have completed VTHT 1301 or VTHT 1401 with a minimum grade of "C".
Course Description: Survey of feeding, common management practices, and care of food producing animals in a clinical setting. Review of common diseases of food producing animals encountered in the practice of veterinary medicine. The student will demonstrate sanitation and disease prevention techniques; utilize medication procedures; implement principles of nutrition, reproduction, and behavior of food producing animals in a clinical setting; and differentiate between common disease pathophysiologies. (2 Lec., 1 Lab.)
