Beginning Vietnamese II
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a Core Curriculum course selected by the colleges of DCCCD.
Prerequisite: VIET 1311 or the equivalent or demonstrated competence approved by the instructor.
Course Description: This is the second semester of academic transfer Vietnamese. It continues the oral practice, reading, writing, grammar and cultural studies begun in VIET 1311. Students are expected to acquire a substantial amount of vocabulary and begin to deal with idiomatic language and more advanced syntax. This course is cross-listed as VIET 1412 but is used only in Study Abroad programs. The student may register for either VIET 1312 or VIET 1412 but may receive credit for only one of the two (3 Lec., 1 Lab.)
