Introduction to Social and Political Philosophy
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a Core Curriculum course selected by the colleges of DCCCD.
Prerequisite: DREA 0093 or English as a Second Language (ESOL) 0044 or have met the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standard in Reading.
Course Description: Critical examination of the major theories concerning the organization of societies and government. The relationships of philosophical ideas to the community are presented. Emphasis is on concepts of natural rights, justice, education, freedom, and responsibility. (3 Lec.)
