Beginning Ancient Greek II
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a Core Curriculum course selected by the colleges of DCCCD.
Course Description: This is the first semester of academic transfer Ancient Greek. It is an introductory course intended for students with little or no knowledge of the language. Its aim is to present essential vocabulary and grammar, and to develop the skills necessary for reading of easy prose. Emphasis is on the value of Greek as a background for the study of English and modern foreign languages. Customs and cultural insights are also presented. This course is cross-listed as GREE 1412 but is also used in Study Abroad programs. Students may register for either GREE 1312 or GREE 1412 but may receive credit for only one of the two. (3 Lec., 1 Lab.)
