General Admissions Policy
Dallas College has an open-door admissions policy to ensure that every person who can benefit from higher education has the opportunity to enroll. Students are admitted without regard to race, religion, sex, national origin, age, physical disability, marital status, or veteran status. Admission to the College does not ensure admission to all programs of study. After obtaining admission to the College, some programs such as those in Health Sciences and the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education may have additional requirements.
Students admitted into a credit status are eligible to take class(es) at Dallas College and attend classes on any of our seven campuses:
- Dallas College Brookhaven Campus
- Dallas College Cedar Valley Campus
- Dallas College Eastfield Campus
- Dallas College El Centro Campus
- Dallas College Mountain View Campus
- Dallas College North Lake Campus
- Dallas College Richland Campus
A person may apply for admission to Dallas College for any session or semester. Upon submitting required documents for admission, a student may then register for courses according to published registration dates for the desired session or semester. Students should note that registration is simply the selection of classes one wishes to take. Once a student has registered and paid for courses, he or she has completed the enrollment process and is officially enrolled.
