Title: Associate of Science Degree in Pre-Mechanical Engineering
(Associate Of Science Degree)
Offered on Brookhaven, Cedar Valley and Mountain View Campuses
In order to be eligible to receive this A.S. in Pre-Mechanical Engineering (PMENG) degree, a student must:
- Complete a minimum of 60 credit hours indicated in this degree plan;
- Earn a grade of "C" or better in English 1301 and the selected college-level mathematics course;
- Receive a GPA (2) of at least 2.00 ("C")
- Meet all Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements and course prerequisites; and
- Complete at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College.

Students who complete this degree with no grade below that of "C" and who meet all admissions requirements at one of the participating universities will be accepted into the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSMENG) program at that institution. Students who wish to pursue this degree through the compact agreement must complete all course requirements of the Pre-Mechanical Engineering (PMENG) program to satisfy the criteria needed for admission into the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program. Students should follow this plan only if they wish to transfer into that institution's Mechanical Engineering. Students wishing to transfer to another university should not assume this entire degree will transfer.
Students who transfer to one of the participating universities will not be core complete if he/she complete this degree. This degree does not include all Core course requirements.
