Recommended Course Sequences Index
Effective August 1, 2021 and according to Texas Senate Bill 25, Texas Education Code Section 51.96852, a Recommended Course Sequence (RCS) is a list of courses by semester, term or enrollment period that satisfy the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) requirement for a student to complete an undergraduate degree program or certificate without exceeding the semester credit hours required for the degree program.
An RCS is not an official degree plan and is not an official certificate. For official degree plans and certificates, visit the Dallas College catalog.
Benefits of Dallas College publishing its list of RCSs:
- Provide clarity and transparency by identifying at least one efficient, timely path for students to complete a higher education credential.
- Provide actionable data to facilitate student success and target advising efforts.
- Prepares THECB to provide insightful tools and reporting for students, institutions, policymakers, researchers, and other stakeholders on the impact of transfer policies and practices.
