The Digital Art and Design Program at Dallas College is designed for students to develop their work engaging in conversations regarding how art and digital art shape modern society. Students in this program build technical and formal skills with which to expand the possibilities of design and art in career paths appropriate to their own interests and abilities. This degree is dedicated to educating designers through real world hands-on technology and conceptual skills, imagination, and theory. It encourages artists to incorporate these skills, a broad landscape of visual language, and experience into various fields.

The one-year certificate program in digital photography is designed to provide students with the skills needed to work in the rapidly growing field of digital imaging and photography. To communicate visually, students will use computer software, technical and artistic photography skills. Smart phone cameras, flatbed scanners, inkjet printers, color laser printers, and other digital imaging equipment will be used, as well as film scanners, flatbed scanners, inkjet printers, color laser printers, and other digital imaging equipment. The core of this certificate is the development of industry standards with a focus on digital photography/video.

The Experience Design/User Interface program will provide the foundational knowledge to prepare graduates to enter the user experience design industry. The students will develop skills in planning, producing and evaluating UX design elements needed for industry applications.
A focus will be on design strategy, research, user centered and prototyping design and coding. Students will gain applied understanding, and practical knowledge of relevant UX/UI methods and deliverables.
The Experience Design/User Interface Associate of Applied Science Degree is awarded for successful completion of a minimum of 60 credit hours that include a common core of academic courses and a selection of technical courses specifically in UX/UI design. The degree is designed to be completed in two years.
