Engineering Degrees
ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE DEGREE IN COMPUTER ENGINEERINGOffered on Richland Campus in conjunction with the Degree Code: AS.UTD.COMP.ENGR Students who complete this degree with no grade below that of "C" and who meet all admissions requirements at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) will be accepted into the UTD's Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering program. Students should follow this plan only if they wish to transfer to UTD in Computer Engineering. Students wishing to transfer to another university should not assume this entire plan will transfer. This degree does not include all Core Curriculum course requirements. Students who plan to transfer must work closely with an advisor/counselor. NOTE: MATH 2413, MATH 2414 and MATH 2415 are required to satisfy the MATH 2417 and 2419. UTD's accelerated two-semester calculus sequence, MATH 2417 and MATH 2419, is equivalent to the three-semester calculus sequence offered at community colleges. Students must take Calculus I, Calculus II, and Calculus III in order to be equivalent.
NOTE: Students must take both ENGR 1201 and ENGR 2105 to receive credit for the UTD ECS 1200 and CE 1202. In addition, student will be required to make up one additional credit hour in major upper level courses.
NOTE: Students enrolling in this program who plan to transfer to a four-year institution should consult an advisor or counselor regarding transfer requirements and the transferability of these courses to the four-year institution of their choice.
