Course Title: Principles of Vascular Technology

This is a WECM Course Number.
Prerequisite Recommended: HPRS 2300 or documented completion of coursework through Prior Learning Assessment in pharmacology. Admission to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. Completion of all previous support and DMSO program courses. Grade of 70 or better in all previous sonography courses. Grade of 80 or better is required in practicum courses.
Course Description: Introduction to non-invasive vascular technology modalities. Includes 2-D imaging, Doppler, plethysmography, and segmental pressures. Emphasis on performing basic venous and arterial imaging and non-imaging exams. (1 Lec., 2 Lab.)
