Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional. This course is the second of four successive clinical courses. Clinic II is the second in a series of four successive clinical courses that utilize the process of care model of assessment, dental hygiene diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Critical thinking skills, time management and self-assessment are emphasized for the practical application of dental hygiene theory. In this competency-based clinical course students move from the beginning to intermediate skill level by providing comprehensive dental hygiene care for patients with routine needs. (4 Ext.)
