ASSOCIATE OF ARTS IN TEACHING DEGREE Offered on Brookhaven, Cedar Valley, Eastfield, El Centro, North Lake, and Richland Campuses Note: This program may lead to an occupational license for which a prior criminal history may make a student ineligible. Degree Code: AAT.MATH.15 The Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.) degree is a Board-approved collegiate degree program consisting of lower-division courses intended for transfer to baccalaureate programs that lead to initial Texas teacher certification. This plan is for those who are interested in certification to teach mathematics in grades 8-12. In order to be eligible to receive this A.A.T. degree, a student must:

Distance Learning/Online: This A.A.T. degree may be taken through a combination of on-campus and Distance Learning/Online; or if planned correctly, the degree may be completed entirely through Distance Learning/Online.
Receiving institutions are not required to accept a grade below "C" in transfer.
