ASSOCIATE OF ARTS IN TEACHING DEGREE EC-6 Offered on all campuses Note: This program may lead to an occupational license for which a prior criminal history may make a student ineligible. Degree Code: AAT.EC-GRD6.15 The Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.) degree is a Board-approved collegiate degree program consisting of lower-division courses intended for transfer to baccalaureate programs that lead to initial Texas teacher certification. This plan is for those who are interested in earning certification to teach Early Childhood through Grade 6 in a generalist classroom setting. In order to be eligible to receive this A.A.T. degree, a student must:
Distance Learning/Online: This A.A.T. degree may be taken through a combination of on-campus and Distance Learning/Online; or if planned correctly, the degree may be completed entirely through Distance Learning/Online. Students who plan to transfer must work closely with an advisor/counselor. |
