State-Mandated Standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress (TXG-SAP)

The Texas state legislature has included specific standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress for students receiving TEXAS Grants. As with the general SAP policy, the TXG-SAP has both a quantitative and qualitative standard that must be achieved each year to renew the award.
Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) - GPA and Completion Rate

Maximum Time Frame to receive the TEXAS Grant | First received the TEXAS Grant as a High School Graduate | Five (5) years from the start of the semester in which the student first received the TEXAS Grant or 150 attempted hours while receiving the TEXAS Grant, whichever comes first |
*Since the GPA requirement is cumulative, eligibility can be regained in the fall for a spring award, or in the summer for a fall award.
**Since the completion rate is for the year, eligibility can be regained in the summer for a fall award.
