VTHT 2217 (2 Credit Hours)
Offered at CVC Exotic Animal Clinical Management This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite Recommended: Students must have completed VTHT 1301 and VTHT 2201 with a minimum grade of "C". Course Description: Survey of feeding, common management practices, and care of exotic animals in a clinical or zoological setting. Review of common diseases of exotic animals encountered in the practice of veterinary medicine. The student will implement appropriate sanitation and disease prevention techniques; utilize appropriate medication procedures; apply knowledge of nutrition, reproduction, and behavior of exotic animals in a clinical setting; and recognize common disease pathophysiology.
