Prerequisite Recommended: Admission into the Emergency Medical Services Program; current BCLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Course Description: The course covers the knowledge and skills for basic emergency medical care. Emphasis is on requirements of nation and state accrediting agencies. Preparation for certification as an Emergency Care Attendant (ECA)/Emergency Medical Responder (EMR).
