DANC 1301 (3 Credit Hours)
Offered at BHC, EFC, MVC, NLC, RLC Dance Composition-Choreography This is a Texas Common Course Number. Prerequisite: (Required) DANC 1201. Course Description: Development of basic principles and theories involved in composition are studied. Emphasis is placed on movement principles, group and structural forms. This course is an examination of the principles of movement generation, phrasing, choreographic structure, and manipulation. Integration of choreographic principles will foster the growth of personal artistic style. (3 Lec., 1 Lab. 2 Lec., 4 Lab.)
