This sequence is for students interested in learning the LINUX Operating System up to an intermediate level and the basics of Open Source software. LINUX topics covered include LINUX commands, file system structure, system editors and simple shell programming. Open Source topics include LINUX installation.
Prerequisite: Basic understanding of personal computers and operating systems as obtained in ITSC 1401 or BCIS 1405 or COSC 1301 or equivalent experience approved by designated personnel.
