- Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
- Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by the college awarding the degree.

The Paramedic Certificate Option is for students already certified as Emergency Medical Technicians. Potential students will be considered on an individual basis to determine if they have an adequate background in anatomy and physiology, math and reading.
NOTE: Semesters I, II, and III of the certificate will be completed in 6.5 months for the Academy Class and 11.5 months for the Shift Based Class.
