Pathway to the Degree Code: AA.ARTS This pathway is a guide designed to help you to successfully complete the Associate of Arts degree. Stages within this pathway indicate a sequence of courses and also take into consideration course prerequisites. In order to be eligible to receive this AA degree, you must:
Core Curriculum: A solid foundation of the 42-hour Core Curriculum and its 9 Foundational Component Areas (FCA) are embedded in this pathway. Completing the Core will enable you to meet the challenges of your college career head-on. Core courses in this pathway are covered in four stages and are designed to build upon the knowledge and skills you acquire as you progress from stage to stage. As you work to complete the 60 hours required for the AA degree, you will also meet the 42-hour Core Curriculum and satisfy the 9 FCA's shown below:
Distance Education: This AA degree may be taken through a combination of on-campus and distance education offerings; or if planned correctly, the degree may be completed entirely through distance education. Transfer: Receiving institutions are not required to accept a grade below "C" in transfer. If you plan to transfer, work closely with an advisor/counselor. |
