Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by the college awarding the degree.

Students will acquire the necessary skills to perform a wide variety of manual and CNC machining operations involving both, vertical milling and turning equipment. Upon completion of this award, students will be able to interpret engineer drawings, make the necessary calculations, and then independently plan and carry out most common machining tasks with proficiency and within industry-standard timeframes.
