LOGISTICS TECHNOLOGY -- ADVANCED-LEVEL LOGISTICS PROFESSIONAL

(Level I Certificate)

  • Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
  • Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by the college awarding the degree.

This certificate will develop advance skills in logistics with a focus in specific logistics applications. The skills learned through this certificate will advance students beyond entry-level employment into management opportunities. Topics include Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) applications, transportation management, International logistics, and business communication.

The Logistics Technology Associate of Applied Science degree is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in logistics technology. This program will provide graduates with the skills required of the industry, enable graduates to seek immediate employment in the workplace, meet labor market demands, and permit greater economic competitiveness. Program specialties include warehouse, traffic, and transportation management, storage and distribution, and inventory control.
