Introduction to Formal Logic
This is a Texas Common Course Number.
Prerequisite: One of the following must be met: (1) DREA 0093 or (2) English as a Second Language (ESOL) 0044 or (3) have met the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standard in Reading.
Course Description: The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to formal and informal logic, including syllogisms, prepositional and predicate logic, logical proofs in a system of rules, fallacies, definitions, analogies, and use of language. (3 Lec.)
