Beginning Korean I
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a Core Curriculum course selected by the colleges of DCCCD.
Prerequisite Recommended: None. College level ready in Reading.
Course Description: This is the first semester of academic transfer Korean. This course is an introductory course intended for students with little or no knowledge of the language. Its aim is to present essential vocabulary and grammar, and to develop the pronunciation, listening, reading, and writing skills necessary for basic communication and comprehension. Customs and cultural insights are also presented. This course is cross-listed as KORE 1311, which is also used in Study Abroad programs. Students may register for either KORE 1311 or KORE 1411 but may receive credit for only one of the two. (3 Lec., 2 Lab.)
