Core Options for AAS Awards
NOTE: This version of Core Options of AAS Awards became effective fall 2012 and was modified fall 2013.
IMPORTANT: Courses listed on this page do not include the complete list of Core Curriculum courses selected by the colleges of DCCCD. This page only contains a specific list of courses to meet Career and Technical Education requirements and to also meet the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) requirements for the Associate in Applied Sciences (AAS) awards.
ENGLISH 1301 and SPEECH 1311, 1315 or 1321 are required as two of the three required courses in the Humanities/Fine Arts category. The additional three (3) credit hour required course MUST be selected from a specific list of courses as shown below.
