This specialized program is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment as Automotive technicians in Toyota/Lexus dealership service organizations. Sponsorship at a Toyota/Lexus dealer is not required to begin the program; however, award of manufacturer certifications tied are contingent on obtaining and sustaining sponsorship at a Toyota/Lexus dealer. Emphasis is placed upon the development of the necessary skills and knowledge required to function in Toyota/Lexus dealerships repairing and maintaining Toyota/Lexus model automobiles with electronic systems. This program includes operational theory, practical skills, and accepted shop procedures reinforced by intensive practice during cooperative work experience periods in the sponsoring dealership.

+Elective - any student enrolling in TECM 1341 must take one Natural Science course from AAS Core Options for Natural Science. Other college level MATH meets the requirement for MATH and Natural Sciences.

++Natural Science Elective - any student enrolling in TECM 1341 must take one Natural Science course from the AAS Core Options for Natural Science.

+++Humanities/Fine Arts Elective - must be selected from the AAS Core Options for Humanities/Fine Arts.

++++Social/Behavioral Science Elective - must be selected from the AAS Core Options for Social/Behavioral Sciences.
