The purpose of this program is to prepare students for entry level employment as an automotive technician. This program reflects a building-block approach from simple to complex and includes theory, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of automobiles, including late model vehicles with electronic systems. Emphasis is placed on operational theory, practical skills and accepted shop procedures.

+MATH Elective - must be selected from the AAS Core Options for Mathematics.

++Elective - Students are required a minimum of six credit hours of cooperative work experience for graduation. Students must select to complete the cooperative work experience through the completion of three (3) two-credit hour courses. If a student selects this option, the student will need to begin the courses by the fourth semester of the degree. Students choosing to complete the cooperative work experience requirement by completing two (2) three-credit hour courses should wait until their last two semesters of course work. The courses must be selected from the following list:
