Music Literature
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a Core Curriculum course selected by the colleges of DCCCD.
Prerequisite: DREA 0093 or English as a Second Language (ESOL) 0044 or have met the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standard in Reading.
Course Description: The music of recognized composers in the major periods of music history is examined. Topics include the characteristics of sound, elements of music, performance media, and musical texture. Emphasis is on the music of the late Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque eras. (3 Lec.)
