Course Description: Introduces the most commonly used and accepted treatment methods in the mental health and mental retardation field. Explores the role of the social service worker and treatment modalities utilized in the outpatient, inpatient, and day treatment areas as they apply to different special populations. (3 Lec.)

Family Intervention Strategies

Course Description: Overview of professionally recognized family intervention systems. Topics include theorists in the field and personal awareness. Family assessments and working with the family as a system, in selecting health care services. The intergenerational concepts are introduced. (3 Lec.)
