Beginning Self-Defense
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a Core Curriculum course selected by the colleges of DCCCD.
Course Description: Various forms of self-defense are introduced. The history and philosophy of the martial arts are explored. The student should progress from no previous experience in self-defense to an adequate skill level covering basic self-defense situations. Both mental and physical aspects of the arts are stressed. Uniform required. (3 Lab.)
