Internship - Child Care Provider/Assistant
This is a WECM Course Number.
Prerequisite: CDEC/TECA 1303, CDEC 1311, CDEC 1313, CDEC 1318, CDEC 1319, CDEC 1354, CDEC 1359, CDEC 2187, CDEC 2380. DREA 0093 or English as a Second Language (ESOL) 0044 or have met the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standard in Reading.
Corequisite/Concurrent: Students will be required to submit to and pass a criminal background search by the certification date as prescribed by the program and college. Failure to comply will result in the student being dropped from the course.
Course Description: An experience external to the college for an advanced student in a specialized field involving a written agreement between the educational institution and a business or industry. Mentored and supervised by a workplace employee, the student achieves objectives that are developed and documented by the college and that are directly related to specific occupational outcomes. This may be a paid or unpaid experience. (8 Ext.)
