Beginning Swimming
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a Core Curriculum course selected by the colleges of DCCCD.
Course Description: This course is designed to teach a non-swimmer or a shallow water swimmer to become a safe and efficient deep water swimmer. After the development of sufficient skills to perform a modified crawl stroke, the elementary back stroke, survival floating, jumping into deep water, leveling off and changing directions, swimmers will be able to swim in deep water. (3 Lab.)
