2014 - 2015 Combined Catalogs of the Colleges

General Requirements

This provision applies to certificates, reverse transfers, associate degrees and associates of applied sciences degree, advanced technical certificates and enhanced skills certificates. In addition to other graduation requirements (detailed in each individual degree plan), you must complete the course requirements for your degree or certificate within five (5) years as outlined in the catalog in effect at the time of your entrance to the college. You may have the option to select a more recent catalog year, provided the required courses are still offered and the degree/certificate requirements are met within five (5) years of the catalog year selected.

Twenty-five percent (25%) of the total credit hours for your degree/certificate must be completed at the college awarding the degree/certificate.

To qualify for a second degree or certificate, you must fulfill the twenty-five percent (25%) residence requirement and must complete all required courses in the curriculum plan for the second degree or certificate.

The college reserves the right to modify or make changes in degree or certificate curricula as appropriate. You, the student, have the ultimate responsibility to select and register for courses to complete your degree or certificate and meeting graduation requirements.

Students should apply for graduation prior to the term in which they intend to graduate. An Application for Graduation may be filed at the Admissions/Registrar Office of the college from which a student plans to graduate. Students who have met all TSI requirements, degree/certificate, and graduation requirements will be awarded their degree or certificate of completion at the end of the appropriate term. Application for Graduation is recommended to insure that each eligible student receive a graduation audit. This audit may include course substitutions, appropriate transfer courses, notification of graduation activities and commencement.

Each college may graduate current and former students who have met graduation requirements with or without student’s permission.
