CHILD DEVELOPMENT -- SCHOOL-AGE CAREGIVER

(Level I Certificate)

Brookhaven and Eastfield only

  • Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
  • Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by the college awarding the degree.

This certificate program provides for an in-depth study of school-age growth and development, programs, and services. It is designed to enable students to provide an optimal learning environment for children in before- and after-school, recreational and summer programs.
