Economics of Global Issues

Prerequisite: Developmental Reading 0093 or English as a Second Language (ESOL) 0044 or have met the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standard in Reading.
Course Description: This course examines the history and theory of international trade and global economic development. Economic, social, cultural, and political issues which impact the global economy and basic human welfare are studied. This course is cross-listed as Geography 2312. The student may register for either Economics 2311 or Geography 2312, but may receive credit for only one of the two. (3 Lec.)
