Course Title: Peripheral Vascular Studies, Radiologic Principles, and RCIS Board Review
This is a Local Need Course.Prerequisite Recommended: A grade of "C" or better in all previous CVTT and support courses.
Course Description: Students study the anatomy of the peripheral vascular system and the diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Students review the principles of radiation safety, biological effects of ionizing radiation, darkroom and cine film principles, and digital imaging. The course also covers an intensive review of all invasive cardiovascular technology principles to assist the student in successful preparation for the RCIS credential examination. (3 Lec., 3 Lab.)
