Course Description: Survey of feeding, management practices, and care of laboratory animals in a clinical setting. Review of common diseases of laboratory animals encountered in the practice of veterinary medicine. The student will apply appropriate sanitation and disease prevention techniques; utilize appropriate medication procedures; implement knowledge of nutrition, reproduction, and behavior of laboratory animals in a clinical setting; and recognize common disease pathophysiology. (2 Lec., 1 Lab.)
