Prerequisite Required: (1) Completion of Department of State Health Services approved Basic Emergency Medical Technician Course or certification by Department of State Health Services as Emergency Medical Technician, (2) Current BCLS (CPR) certification by the American Heart Association or equivalent.
Corequisite/Concurrent: Students will be required to submit to and pass a criminal background search and a drug screen as prescribed by the program and college. Failure to comply will result in the student being dropped from all EMSP courses.
Course Description: A health-related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional. (3 Ext.)
