PORT 1412 (4 Credit Hours)
Offered at BHC, RLC Beginning Portuguese II This is a Texas Common Course Number. This course is cross-listed as PORT 1312, which is used only in Study Abroad programs. Students may register for either PORT 1312 or PORT 1412 but may receive credit for only one of the two. Prerequisite: (Required) PORT 1411 or the equivalent or demonstrated competence approved by the instructor. Course Description: This is the second semester of academic transfer Portuguese. This course continues the oral practice, reading, writing, grammar and cultural studies begun in PORT 1411. Students are expected to acquire a substantial amount of vocabulary and begin to deal with idiomatic language and more advanced syntax. This course is cross-listed as PORT 1312, which is used only in Study Abroad programs. Students may register for either PORT 1312 or PORT 1412 but may receive credit for only one of the two.
