PORT 1411 (4 Credit Hours)
Offered at BHC, RLC Beginning Portuguese I This is a Texas Common Course Number. This course is cross-listed as PORT 1311, which is also used in Study Abroad programs. Students may register for either PORT 1311 or PORT 1411 but may receive credit for only one of the two. Prerequisite: (Required) College level ready in Reading. Course Description: This is the first semester of academic transfer Portuguese. This course is an introductory course intended for students with little or no knowledge of the language. Its aim is to present essential vocabulary and grammar, and to develop the pronunciation, listening, reading, and writing skills necessary for basic communication and comprehension. Customs and cultural insights are also presented. This course is cross-listed as PORT 1311, which is also used in Study Abroad programs.
