CHEM 1412 (4 Credit Hours)
Offered at BHC, CVC, EFC, ECC, MVC, NLC, RLC General Chemistry II This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a Core Curriculum course selected by the colleges of DCCCD. Prerequisite Required: CHEM 1411 with a minimum grade of "C." Course Description: Chemical equilibrium; phase diagrams and spectrometry; acid-base concepts; thermodynamics; kinetics; electrochemistry; nuclear chemistry; an introduction to organic chemistry and descriptive inorganic chemistry . Basic laboratory experiments will reinforce theoretical principles of general chemistry, introduction of the scientific method, experimental design, chemical instrumentation, data collection and analysis, and preparation of laboratory reports.
