Offered at BHC, CVC, ECC, MVC, NLC, RLC Introduction to Economics This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a Core Curriculum course selected by the colleges of the DCCCD. Prerequisite Required: College level ready in Reading. Course Description: A survey of basic economic concepts is presented. Topics include supply and demand, consumer behavior, price and output decisions by firms, market structures, factor markets, market failures, and international trade. An emphasis is also given to national income, unemployment, inflation, business cycles, aggregate supply and demand, monetary and fiscal policy, and economic growth.
